We are back with a new website and ported the recent activity over. We'll be online now for the Cup Finals 2018, linking to the LiveStreaming, NASL Tweets and then will be set for the new 2018 Season.
The new website address (domain) is www.nationalarenaswimmingleague.org
The old website will soon be re-directed here (so both will work). Previous email addresses for all contacts remain.
Each Region continues to have its own section and will be able to more easily report results and gala reports, upload pictures and present useful details for the League.
If you have any requests, please notify the email@example.com
During the 2017 League season, it was a great shock to hear of the sudden death of Alan Doyle. Alan died on 29th November 2017.
Our thoughts continue to be with his wife Caroline and his two daughters Keri and Kelsey.
Alan was not only an excellent coach, but he was a webmaster as part of his day job. He used his skills to support many different areas within swimming, including the Arena League website, email and Social messaging. Whether working as a volunteer, or as part of his day job, he always went beyond the call, providing great support to regions, counties, leagues and clubs.
Alan had a great influence on The National Arena Swimming League, linking together the sponsors and the seven leagues, and ensuring that the Finals weekend was widely made known, by encouraging tweets and updates to heighten the excitement running up to the weekend and over the weekend itself. Thanks Alan. RIP
Congratulations to Ian Mackenzie who was presented with the Harold Fern Award on Saturday at the Amateur Swimming Association Annual Dinner after the Annual Council Meeting. The Harold Fern Award is an annual award presented by the governing body of swimming in England.
Will all clubs ensure that only swimmers with CAT 2 Swim England membership or the equivalent of the other home countries, swim in the league competition. Anyone with Cat 1 membership will be disqualified for any event they have swum in. This is an ASA regulation, it is not a league rule.
Anyone not complying with the league rule - membership of the club and Swim England prior to 1st October will also be disqualified for any event they have swum in.
We have a new set of Gala Documentation available on the website for download, we ask that all clubs download the new versions for 2017.
Hosting clubs should download the full set whilst all clubs need to make sure they are using the Team Sheet and Validation 2017 file.
The documents can be downloaded in the Gala Documentation Section here
Congratulations to Millfield on a very strong victory, well done to all the clubs for a great competition
